My earliest memory of reading consists of my Dad reading the Little House series of books by Laura Ingalls Wilder each night before going to bed. My older sister and I would be tucked in, attentively listening and imagining life on the prairie.
I continue to lose myself in books – all types of books, fiction and nonfiction. I can spend hours in Barnes and Noble or used book stores.
My browsing method is pretty consistent. First…I read the title. Second…I read the description. Third…I look at the font (yes, some fonts are not for me). Fourth, I contemplate the “book mood” I am in.
My love of cooking has spilled over into my book choices. If I thoroughly enjoyed a book and had a meaningful connection with the characters, story, or topic, then you will find it on my bookshelf. On the page, On My Bookshelf, you will find some great reads involving food that are kept on my bookshelf. Please feel free to ask questions or comment if you have enjoyed a particular read. I would also love any recommended reads you may have!
